This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
Austrade is looking for an experienced Interaction Designer to join the Digital Client Services Branch (DCS). DCS has several programs of work in progress which support the delivery of digital services to our clients, who include Australian exporters and international students.
As the interaction designer, you will provide specialist design, user research and user testing capability for the improvement of digital services and the customer experience, as part of an agile multi-disciplinary team. You will be working within a team that includes a variety of roles including a Product Manager, Business Analyst, Solution Developers, and Testers. In addition to the people in your team, you will be expected to collaborate closely with others across Austrade teams, including key roles such as the Solution Architect, Service and Content Designers, as well as directly with users of our digital services, internal staff and stakeholders, and senior executive.
You will:
• Work with the product manager and the team to define solutions through prototyping, mockups, flows, visual design, or other means.
• Create flows and mockups for mobile and web experiences.
• Seek feedback proactively to explore a range of design paths that reflect opportunities and constraints.
• A solid understanding of the application of user research/ testing to inform and validate designs, through to production-ready with consideration of Digital Service Standards.
• Develop design rationale and explain design choices to the team and participate in design reviews, research, and other activities
• Share your knowledge and expertise with other team members and junior Interaction Designers to help develop organisational capability.

• Contributing to a positive and rewarding work environment and supporting team members through change
•Demonstrating and communicating the value of Agile ways of working and Human Centred Design approaches
