The City of Port Phillip is currently seeking Expressions of Interest for new public artwork.
City of Port Phillip is seeking artists for a work, or series of works, along Ormond Road, Elwood. The works will interact or engage with the trees along the street, and ideally link conceptually or visually to Elwood, its people, it’s businesses and activities.
Flex your creative brain and bring a new life, context, or colour to street. How can we spark conversations within the local and broader community whilst also supporting the businesses and traders?
The site-responsive work will be installed for six to 12 months. The artist will be responsible for concept development, build, install, safety and risk management including Engineering Certificates if required, material and install costs and communication with Council stakeholders. Council will help with permitting, advise and project management to help facilitate the project.
