Tender Description
GVW Contractors who tender for work with a total of 100k or more will be required to have a third party certified safety system e.g. AS/NZS 4801:2001
Scope of Works:
The works of this contract comprise the construction of the downstream reservoir embankment weighting material and spillway and associated works as shown on the drawings accompanying this specification. The scope of works is as follows:
- Strip and excavation of the downstream shoulder from CH 27 to 336
- Construction of a toe filter trench from CH 27 to CH 277
- Construction of a seepage collection system
- Construction of a filter and rockfill buttress from CH 0 to CH 310 consisting of a dual filter (fine and coarse) chimney zone and rockfill shoulder
- Demolition and reconstruction of the spillway
- Construction crest capping including crushed rock
- Demolition and reconstruction of access road and ramps
- Demolition and reconstruction of drainage system
- Demolition and reconstruction of the inlet structure
- Construction of a turning circle
- Supply of equipment as necessary for the completion of the contract works
