Tender Description
The main objectives of this project are to reduce or eliminate the occurrence of ‘right near’ crashes at this intersection.
To address the safety issues at the intersection of Harold Road and Corrigan Road, the following works are proposed:
• Upgrade the existing T-junction intersection control from give-way treatment to a signalised intersection treatment which will result removal of existing splitter island on the Harold Road approach.
• Provision of pedestrian activated crossings on the western and northern sides of the signalised intersection.
• Bicycle priority storage boxes are provided on Corrigan Road northern and southern approaches at the signalised intersection.
• Provision of TGSIs on all proposed and existing pram ramps around the intersection.
• Upgrading of lights on existing light poles and a new lantern on joint use pole in order to improve the visibility of the signals
