Tender Description

The City's objective of promoting EV uptake by its residents and provide infrastructure that can support this transition will be supported through this partnership.

The City is looking to work in partnership with a provider to supply install commission operate and Manage Public EV charging infrastructure that works with multiple EV models at 10 sites in the City

The City is looking for this partnership for on a 30 year basis subsequent to which the site for the charging infrastructure will be provided back to the City with every piece of the infrastructure being properly decommissioned.

The Partner may in the period of the operation and management of this infrastructure may
a. Provide EV Charging to Public on a Paid or Unpaid bases (Freemium) model that may help in Promotion of EV uptake. The City will work with the provider on providing information as available with the City for suitable site selection and advise on the necessary approvals required for installing and managing infrastructure at that site. It will be the responsibility of the provider to seek and manage the necessary approvals as applicable from the State and Local Government.
b. Use 100% Renewable Electricity for the purpose of Charging Electricity being provided at this infrastructure.
c. Provide the City free access to infrastructure utilisation data and suitable physical access to provide other smart city sensors at and around these sites to collect other information as and when applicable.
d. Partner with any other third party eg. private land owners, financial institutions, equipment providers, non-profit groups, research institutions for providing best value offering to serve the objectives.
e. Use the infrastructure for an alternate source of income with due approval and under the City's policies and Local, State or Federal legislations as applicable. The City reserves full rights to authorise the alternate use during the initial contract and this may not change later at any stage. The City will not be liable for any penalty or liabilities arising from this infrastructure use or alternate use or misuse at any time.
f. Provide Monetary and Non-monetary benefits to the City and the Community.
g. Work with the City in promotion of EV uptake in the community.
h. Upgrade infrastructure as and when required to maintain its relevance with changing technology and continue to keep the infrastructure relevant for the City.

The City would select the Partner on Best Value proposition in the proposal and demonstrated relevant experience.
The City reserves the right to move out of the partnership and request to return the site if the infrastructure shows little or no utilization in the community and that the infrastructure becomes irrelevant.
