Procurement of Commercial Off The Shelf Laboratory Software

⁠⁠⁠LB currently operates a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to manage sample workflows from sample receipt to reporting of results. We are seeking to upgrade or replace this system with an integrated solution to provide additional capability, including:

• Sample management functions to manage the whole of sample lifecycle – submission of testing requests, registration and receipt of samples, chain of custody, storage of samples, laboratory testing, reporting of results, and sample disposal. (Laboratory Information Management System functionality)
• Ability to capture information across multiple disciplines. The system will capture analyst input at the bench, instrumental outputs and results from a wide variety of instruments from multiple vendors, capture instruments and consumables used in an analysis, for both structured and unstructured experiments. (Electronic Laboratory Notebook functionality)
• Ability to guide users through defined experimental protocols. (Laboratory Execution System functionality)
• Ability to collect information about an analysis, raw data and processed data and store in a relational database. (Scientific Data Management System functionality)
• Scheduling of people, resources and workflow management
• Business analytics, intelligence and reporting functions through in-built applications.
