Frankston City Council invite Tenders from suitably qualified landscape contractors to deliver the construction phase of the Orwil Reserve Upgrade project.
Orwil Reserve is located approximately 2 km north east of the Frankston Central Activity District; situated at 10-16 Orwil Street, Frankston. The reserve is approximately 2,828 square metres in size, with access provided to the reserve via the Orwil Street entrance.
The reserve is located adjacent to the Orwil Street Community House and mainly surrounded by residential properties and includes amenities such as playground facilities, park furniture and a relatively large open space.
Orwil Reserve is the central open space for the neighbourhood area and the playground is the only play space in its catchment area. The current playground was constructed in 2005 and has reached the end of its useful life.
The works will take place at Orwil Reserve and Orwil Street Community House playspace in order to provide diverse range of play experience for all age groups and incorporate up to date play initiatives both within the reserve and at the community House play space.
Works include but are not limited to:
a) Temporary site protective fencing during construction period;
b) Demolition works including removal and disposal;
c) Trimming and grading;
d) Supply and installation of soft fall and sub-surface drainage;
e) Garden bed preparation, mulching and topsoiling;
f) Construction of new paths as detailed in the drawings and specifications;
g) Furniture supply and installation;
h) Supply and installation of playground equipment including coordination with supplier during playground equipment installation;
i) Supply and installation of picnic shelter;
j) Supply of all materials and construction; and
k) Reinstatement of all disturbed areas.
