Tender Description
Rio Tinto requires Pilbara utilities billing and account management services for all electricity and water customers (circa 5000) located in Tom Price, Paraburdoo, Dampier, Wickham (electricity only) and Karratha (Rio Tinto employees electricity only).
The services includes but is not limited to the following:
Meter reading - in field meter readers
Customer billing - generation, Q&A, forwarding and reminders
Customer payments - receipting, allocation and reporting
Service desk (customer call centre) business days/hours (WA)
Customer service platform (CSP) - data management system, data entry, Q&A and IT upgrades
Administrative support for Rio Tinto based personnel, monthly reports, ad hoc data requests etc.
Debt collection services - outstanding customer accounts
In order to enable the provision of the above services Rio Tinto has developed and will make available the software customers service platform (CSP) and mobile meter reading application (mobile phone app).
Rio Tinto will retain ownership of all customer data, the service provider will be responsible for maintaining and updating the data. Rio Tinto is responsible for the replacement, maintenance, support and calibration of all electricity and water meters in the field.
The contract is likely to be a five year fixed term agreement with all charges for the services being based on a quarterly fixed fee charge (except for debt collection - commission based).

As this is an Expression of Interest (EOI) only, the specifics of the package of work relating to breadth of scope, location and timing may be subject to change. If successful, the Supplier/s will be notified of any changes prior to award.
