Tender Description
UHSC has identified a parcel of Council-owned land it believes may be suitable for the establishment of a solar farm and/or battery energy storage system (BESS). Reasons for this determination include:
- Useable topography
- Ease of access
- Close proximity to a electrical sub-station
The land is approximately 38 hectares in size and it has been estimated that a solar farm of up to 15MW capacity can be accommodated.
Council would like to hear from parties interested in this project, including consultants, suppliers, installers and operators. Interest can be declared for full-scope design, construct and operate as well as separate portions and subcontracting opportunities.
Council is also interested in exploring various ownership models and welcomes, in particular, scenarios where community involvement is a possibility.
