34-158348 - Mechanical & Refurbishment Works associated with the Big Red Truck Mobile Kitchen Facility

⁠⁠⁠Department of Education is calling for submissions for Mechanical & Refurbishment Works associated with the Big Red Truck Mobile Kitchen Facility located at Longreach State HIgh School - Jabiru St, Longreach QLD 4370.

The Big Red Truck (BRT) – Outback College of Hospitality Trade Training Centre built in 2010 was originally funded by the Commonwealth to provide Central West Queensland Year 10-12 students with the opportunity to work towards their Certificate II in Kitchen Operations. Schools that utilise this program are Longreach State High, Aramac, Barcaldine, Blackall and Winton State Schools. Following 10+ years of operation the truck, trailers, kitchen and ancillary equipment are in need of repairs, maintenance and compliance upgrades.

RPS, as the appointed Project Managers for the Department of Education, are seeking a lump sum price proposal for Specialist Contractors to inspect the Big Red Truck facility and complete repairs, improvements and compliance upgrades to extend its operating life for additional 10-year period.

SITE VISIT

A site visit will be conduct at 9.00am on Tuesday 15th February, 2022 at Longreach State High School – Jabiru St, Longreach QLD 4730.

Suppliers are required to register thier intention to attend the site visit to Mark Moore via email mark.moore@rpsgroup.com.au by Monday COB 5:00pm Monday 14th February,

Please arrive at reception 5 minutes prior to the site visit to sign in.

COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS

All site attendees are required to adhere to the Chief Health Officer public health directions - COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements.

(a) From 17 December 2021, Personnel must have had one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

(b) From 11:59pm on 23 January 2022, Personnel must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

(c) Evidence of vaccination status needs to be provided to the school, outdoor education facility, kindergarten or early childhood setting.
