This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
The responsibilities of the Senior Linux Engineer include but are not limited to:
providing technical advice and developing, integrating and delivering effective and efficient cyber security initiatives across all of DSTG’s Linux enterprise capabilities
ensuring the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the servers, applications and systems running in DSTG’s Linux environment
update and develop new security policies underpinning new cyber security measures
ensuring that systems are maintained in accordance with the ISM, in particular the ACSC Essential 8, and DSTG’s system security policies
contributing to the design and implementation of infrastructure monitoring tools to enable effective monitoring, reporting and management of Linux enterprise systems, comprising security posture, performance and capacity planning
as a technical expert, provide (and support others to provide) infrastructure and business application support across project and operational initiatives
liaising with vendors and key stakeholders in relation to incidents, problems, solutions and ongoing support arrangements, including adhering to change management processes and procedures contributing to development and implementation of automation strategies across the Linux environment, business and research environments
proactively maintaining technical documentation for all existing operational and new ICT services, processes and procedures to support the lifecycle management of deployed systems
contributing to a cohesive team environment, positive high performing culture and the development of continuous improvement of processes and practices to ensure client objectives, business needs, and service delivery standards are achieved in a timely, sustainable-cost effective manner
