Tender Description

A recent assessment of the Dalby Aerodrome has highlighted a number of areas that need upgrading at the airport. These are the surface on the cross runway, the taxiway to the cross runway, the taxi lane and apron to lessee facilities and fencing and access gates to delineate airside/landside.

The cross runway 04/22 at the Dalby Aerodrome has been closed to aircraft traffic due to the condition of the sealed surface. The runway surface has excessive rutting, longitudinal cracking and undulations and significant slumping in portions.

The gravel taxiway heading north between the apron and Runway 04/22 does not meet the width requirements for code A taxiway. The taxi lane between two hangers leading form the main apron to a single hangar and grassed has a surface which is unserviceable for aircraft use with an irregular surface, excessive slope gradients and objects within the required obstacle free area.

The aerodrome does not have any fencing around the aerodrome, there is currently no physical restriction to the public accessing the airside area of the aerodrome to restriction to public vehicles driving directly onto the movement areas of Dalby aerodrome. Suitable fencing is to be installed to block public access to restricted areas of the aerodrome.
