Defence Science and Technology are looking for a highly motivated, proactive and qualified Information Technology Security Specialist. The Security Specialist will work within a project team of IT Specialists to provide expert security advice into complex solution designs.
Will engage with various key stakeholders, including the client, and produce high quality inputs and outputs in a very high paces environment.
Some of the key responsibilities of the Security Specialist are as follows, but not limited to:
• Engage closely with the client and projects Solution and Security Architects.
• Ensure security is at the front of all project designs and technical solution decisions.
• Lead system security certification and accreditation.
• Support development of project security requirements.
• Provide input to support the creation of the SOA/SOD/SDD/SOP.
Skills and Experience Required:
• Working knowledge and extensive experience using ISM, PSPF and NIST standards and guidelines.
• Familiarity or experience working in the Defence environment.
• At least 3 years’ experience in IT Security.
• Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) essential.
• Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2) highly desirable.
