Tender Description
This project comprises two parts, one is for Elgas –Farringdon Reticulation Maintenance while another is for the installation & connection.
Maintenance will include the following but not limited to.
- Monthly inspections – random odorant and plant check, pressure setting check
- Quarterly inspection – odorant and plant inspection including bulk storage, pressure setting checks
- Annual inspection – Walk the line with sniffer and all isolation valves, inspect all isolation valves. Leak test all meter connections.
- 4 yearly leakage tests
Installation will requie to connect 73 current residences to the reticulation system, these customers are currently connected via 2x 45kg LPG cylinders. The scope includes the assessment of the of each site to establish the connection requirements and meter position, all installations need to be completed in accordance with Elgas SOP
The connection requirements are as follows:
- Lateral connection ± 15m PE pipe with trace wire – supply and install
- Trenching - rehabilitation
- FE 25 Regulator installation – 3kPa – 5kPA partial release – 7kPa slam shut (free issue)
- Landis & Gear 750 meter installation (free issue)
- Meter bracket installation (free issue)
- Meter cover installation (free issue)
