Wimmera Mallee Signage Audit & Co-Design

⁠⁠⁠Yarriambiack Shire Council, on behalf of Wimmera Mallee Tourism, are seeking a qualified consultant to undertake all works associated with carrying out the research, analysis and strategic planning of the implementation of Signage Infrastructure within the Wimmera Mallee Region that includes Buloke Shire, Yarriambiack Shire, Hindmarsh Shire and West Wimmera Shire Councils. The works shall include:

• A report detailing the analysis of current Tourist Attractions and matching them with existing signage within the Wimmera Mallee Region and recommendations for implementation of recommended signage for each shire plus the wider region.
• Inclusions of co-design recommendations that will acknowledge Traditional landowners, promote local history and points of interest, strengthen knowledge of the region and showcase Wimmera Mallee branding.
• Analysis of, and recommendations for, methods to monetise signage installations (or associated advertising) to create an income stream allowing WMT to pay on going service costs and for future tourism development.

This project is part of the “Mallee Silo Art Trail Program” being implemented with funding from the Flagship Tourism Infrastructure Projects grant from Regional Development Victoria.

An audit first needs to be undertaken to understand the region’s current signage offerings and identify improvements and opportunities for future signage implementation. A co-design of the signage and implementation plan will show designs and recommendations for Wimmera Mallee Tourism to implement the signage in each shire and the wider region as per the audit requirements.

The budget for this project is $25,000.
