Tender Description
Homes Victoria is intending to release a Request for Tender in late-January 2022 to undertake geotechnical and environmental testing to support the Big Housing Build Ground Lease Model Project. This will be a select tender process called from pre-qualified Consultants on the Construction Supplier Register. The project will include the delivery of approximately 1400 new dwellings through a new partnership between community housing organisation, the private sector and Homes Victoria.
The Project will be delivered under the Big Housing Build program on Homes Victoria owned sites located in Horace Petty-South Yarra, Essex St-Prahran, Barack/Beacon Road-Port Melbourne, and Bluff Road-Hampton East.
The Geotechnical and Environmental Testing Contract award is expected in Quarter 1 2022.
The Government’s Local Jobs First policy and Social Procurement Framework apply to this procurement. Tender participants will need to complete a Local Industry Development Plan (LIDP) as part of Local Jobs First requirements. The Building Equity, Major Projects Skills Guarantee (MPSG) and Apprenticeships Victoria requirements also apply to this procurement. These commitments will need to be included within the LIDP and/or social procurement response.
Homes Victoria reserves its rights to amend its approach, timing and requirements in respect to the contractor procurement process.
