Medium Density Residential Development - Northern Suburbs Builder Partner

⁠⁠⁠Development Victoria intends to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) to the public seeking a builder partner to deliver townhouses at one of our developments in Melbourne’s North. The successful bidder will be required to deliver its own product under a split contract arrangement.

Builders will have the opportunity to bid on delivering circa 70-80 townhouses via a Request for Proposal (RFP) process. The successful bidder will be engaged through a Development Agreement.

Builders are required to:

• Be Registered Building Practitioners in Victoria;
• Have the expertise required to assist in master planning the project;
• Have a selection of pre-designed product ready to adopt;
• Product must be well designed, contain efficient floorplans, and be interchangeable if necessary;
• Bidders must have experience in delivering medium density projects with at least 70 simultaneous dwellings in one development;
• Demonstrate a commitment to delivering sustainable and affordable projects;
• Have experience complying with applicable Authority and service provider standards such as those of the City of Whittlesea Council, Yarra Valley Water and AusNet;
• Have proven experience delivering under a split contract arrangement;
• Bidders must have a good customer service history;
• Note that this project is subject to Social Procurement Framework;
• Have experience complying with State Government policies and procedures; and
• Note that minimum mandatory criteria will apply as documented in the RFP.
