* FURTHER NOTE: It is preferred that submitted candidates be located in ACT, however the role may also be performed from one of our other departmental offices located in the states listed below. Please ensure that the proposed location for each candidate is submitted with your response.

The Enterprise Integration Services (EIS) Section requires the services of two (2) Integration Developers to work on the Home Affairs’ Customs Connect Facility (CCF) gateway which is a Category Class A secure, multi-channel communications and data transformation gateway that allows external clients (including Industry partners) and internal users to transact with Home Affairs business applications in a trusted manner. CCF also provides hosting for web applications that are accessed by external users along with identity management, PKI and other services. CCF is a 24/7 mission critical application supporting Cargo companies and internal departmental users.

EIS is also seeking an additional two Integration Developers to work on building the Department’s API Gateway and Event Message Platform, using domain driven design and develop APIs.

The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to:

• Developing and supporting software to facilitate message processing for key cargo and passenger functions;
• Providing support and guidance for projects on how to utilise the environment and the various interfaces utilising a number of different tools and languages;
• Building and supporting integration solutions for CCF using the Departments integration platforms;
• Building, enhancing and supporting the API Gateway and Event Messaging Platform;
• Developing APIs Using Domain Driven Design;
• Developing and maintaining productive working relationships, ensuring consultation and information sharing with key stakeholders.

Specified Personnel will be expected to transfer skills and knowledge to departmental staff and ensuring appropriate documentation is stored in accordance with the Department’s recordkeeping policy and practices.

Specified Personnel will also be responsible for producing the following deliverables, including but not limited to:

• Developing comprehensive documentation (product, process, system and user documentation) as required.
