This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
A new and exciting project focused on Countering Cybercrime and actively Mitigating Cyber threats is looking for an experienced and disciplined System Administrator to join the team.
The System Administrator will be part of a growing Cyber Security project team responsible for undertaking complex activities and tasks across a broad range of technologies and disciplines within the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC). The successful candidate will have showcased their experience in design, development and integration of systems, with a strong focus on OS/Application hardening and exemplary documentation skills. They may have previous experience as a Senior technologist or be looking to move laterally into a Mission-focused role delivering Cyber capability for Australia.
Embedded within a growing area, the System Administrator will lead and conduct these activities within the project team while working cohesively and flexibly with levels of stakeholders within and external to the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC).
This full - time specialist, working on-site in Canberra will work in a rapid and dynamic environment enabling critical mission systems in support of Australian Infrastructure and the Australian Government Cyber mission.
Following the evaluation process, a suitable candidate will be required to undergo the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) to assess the individual’s suitability for employment with the ACSC, prior to commencing in the role.

The System Administrator will be required to hold a current NV2 as a minimum security clearance requirement and an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) will be needed prior to engagement. Candidates with a current PV are also encouraged to apply. The successful candidates’ security clearance will be maintained at level by ACSC.
Note: Organisational Suitability Assessment – An Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) is a mandatory requirement for contracted staff working in ASD. Before submitting an applicant for this position, they must have considered their preparedness for questions that may include the following topics: personal relationships, living circumstances, personal values, financial situation, physical and mental health history including substance use, and any civil and/or military record.
OSA’s are conducted to determine suitability to work in a high security environment. All employees must obtain and maintain the required security clearance to work in ASD.
If you are currently employed in the Australian Intelligence Community or the ADF, you will be provided with feedback on your OSA if the outcome has an adverse bearing on your current employment. No feedback will be provided on the outcome of the psychological assessment process to any other applicant.
