This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
Australia’s online safety regulator, the eSafety Commissioner (eSafety), is seeking a strategic engagement to assist the Strategy and Policy team in producing an implementation roadmap for the Basic Online Safety Expectations, a key new element of the eSafety’s Commissioner’s regulatory toolkit under the Online Safety Act (2021). It is intended that the instrument will come into effect in January 2022.
This engagement will result in a clear strategy, process outline and roadmap, evidence assessment framework and resultant project plan (timeline and deliverables) to implement the strategy, including a gap analysis and recommendations for optimal delivery of the plan. Full details of this requirement are outlined in Section 8.
The successful tenderer will demonstrate a strong understanding of eSafety’s holistic remit across the pillars of prevention, protection and proactive change; the purpose of the BOSE; and how reporting under the BOSE can support eSafety’s overall objectives in their response.
