Tender Description
The intent of this EOI is to aid JCU in the development of a defined SDDC solution requirement, which will form the specification/scope of an open-market Request for Proposal (RFP) at a later date.
JCU can see the opportunities and benefits of the Software Defined Data Centre (SDDC) and have made the strategic decision to progress in this direction. JCU has partially implemented Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with varying levels of adoption and success. To complete the implementation of SDDC, JCU is seeking information about consulting services from suitably qualified vendors that would support this initiative, specifically:
- Guidance on successful SDDC modernisation projects, including skillsets and resources required to implement.
- Cultural change management considerations to ensure consistent adoption and processes across all stakeholders.
- Target architecture and SDDC toolsets.
- Strategic approach to Private, Public and Hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Process design appropriate to JCU’s technology landscape, including governance, security and cost management.
- Application of SDDC over legacy infrastructure.
- SDDC training services
- SDDC considerations for BCP / DRP
- Other services as providers deem appropriate to an SDDC modernisation program.
JCU are seeking information about services ranging anywhere from a prescriptive DIY solution playbook through to onsite hands-on consulting services. The result must be JCU’s ownership and operation of the solution.
