⁠⁠⁠Who we are:

In late 2020, as part of Busting Congestion for Agricultural Exporters the Trade Reform and Digital Trade Initiatives divisions were established to develop and deliver the vision and strategy for agricultural exports, and to coordinate the range of the export business and digital reform programs that are currently underway. At the heart of this reform package is the modernisation of export systems by building Digital Services to Take Farmers to Markets.

The Role:

The Department is building significant digital capability within the Congestion Busting Program. Part of this capability is to develop a suite of services for a range of commercial and government (inter-jurisdictional) entities that will allow them to interact directly with the agency’s systems and data in a variety of ways and degrees of trust.

To deliver this work we have created the Ecosystem Integration Team which is responsible for identifying opportunities with 3rd parties, the underlying technical connectivity models and testing their feasibility.

We are seeking an individual to undertake an iterative piece of work to develop and document potential business processes that could be supported/enhanced by utilising APIs.

Part of the role will be to assess other processes that exist in 3rd party ecosystems connected to the department. This includes Agricultural producers, AgTech companies, Industry bodies, state and territories government.

Key Deliverables:

• Working with the team to analyse internal business process, clearly document them and assist in developing use cases for improvements through the use of APIs and automation (through data capture)
• Take the lead on working with industry stakeholders to co-design new business processes and establish implementation steps
• Work with internal stakeholders to define a strategy to migrate existing/legacy 3rd party processes to the new Programme

Skills & Experience:

• Strong background working in agile, multi-disciplinary teams in a large scale digital transformation
• Understanding of APIs and 3rd party integration capabilities to improve business processes
• Exceptional ability with business analysis skill set
• Understanding of Government systems & policies
• Understanding of commercial business models, drivers and market development
• Demonstrable experience and capability working with a diverse range of users
• Evidence based experience of aligning work with organisational / team strategy
• Over-arching knowledge of technologies used to deliver digital services
• Flexibility to work in an Agile environment and develop frameworks using a customer/evidence led approach
