Regional Bus Services

⁠⁠⁠The Department of Transport (DoT) will be seeking proposals from qualified bus operators in response to a Request for Tender (RFT) for the provision of the Country Regional Urban Bus Services (CRUBS) and V/Line bus services. There will be multiple contract packages for a range of routes across regional Victoria with a contract start date of 1 July 2022.

An RFT for each of the individual service contract packages will be available on the Buying for Victoria website www.tenders.vic.gov.au with an expected release date of mid to late September 2021.

Interested operators should register as a supplier at www.tenders.vic.gov.au under the UNSPSC categories Passenger Road Transport (78111800) and Scheduled Bus Services (78111802). This will ensure you receive updates about the RFT release.

An industry briefing will be held shortly after the release of the RFT via Microsoft Teams. To register for this briefing, please email Regional.Bus.Services@transport.vic.gov.au. Interested operators will be notified of the time and date of the briefing via email.

To ensure a fair process, DoT will not be responding to enquiries for this Request for Tender until it is publicly released to market.
