Expressions of Interest - Lease or purchase of 31 Main St, Derrinallum

⁠⁠⁠Council is seeking EoIs from commercial operators, community groups or private enterprises to lease or purchase the Maternal Child Health Centre in Derrinallum.

The facility is situated on Council owned land and is zoned as a township zone. The land area is approximately 1,012m2. Council's Planning and Building Department can be contacted should the intending applicant wish to discuss any necessary planning or building permits required for the proposed usage.

The building was built around 1958 and has been well maintained and used for children’s services. The existing layout provides endless opportunities for the premises to be altered to another specific purpose of use. The premises are located in the main Street of Derrinallum which provides endless local and travelling traffic past the front door.

Terms will be under a commercial lease incorporating commercial rent and terms, community lease with a community rental and terms, or a current market purchase price. All submissions that maximise the potential use of the property and contribute to the business and/or community benefit are encouraged. The property would be suitable for a variety of commercial/community or private enterprise activities.

We expect the lease to commence from January 2022 (or later) and the settlement date of any purchase will be negotiated with the applicant.
