Naval Group Australia is seeking Expressions of Interest from Australian and New Zealand suppliers with capability to produce forged bar in material P295 GH, 30CrNiMo8, X2CrNiCuN 25-6-3, X2CrNiCuN 25-6-7 and X2CrNiCuN 25-6-4.
Steel making, forging process, testing, marking and packaging are required. The supplier shall be able to perform acceptance tests such as: chemical analysis, tensile test, visual examination, dye penetrant test, magnetic particle tests, ultrasonic tests, hardness tests, impact tests, and grain size.
Documentation required for acceptance includes but it is not limited to: Manufacturing Process Plan, inspection reports, test reports, 3.1 certificates, dimensional reports.
Marking of the products has to be done through an indelible method such as ball point punch, engraving or laser marking.
