The Former Gasworks Site located in the suburbs of Bowden and Brompton and forming part of the Bowden redevelopment project represents a significant development opportunity just 2.5 kilometres from the centre of Adelaide’s CBD.
Renewal SA is seeking a visionary development partner/s to develop a vibrant mixed-use precinct that blends heritage, sustainability and community in a way that is complementary to and integrates with the Bowden redevelopment project. The site to be offered to market is approximately 5.65Ha and Renewal SA will accept bids for all or part of the site.
The tender process will be conducted in two stages. The first stage, a Registration of Interest (ROI) will be released in July. A shortlist of proponents will then be invited to participate in a Request for Proposal (RFP).
It is intended that the Successful Proponent/s will be invited to enter into a Development Agreement (or similar legal agreement) with Renewal SA for the remediation and development of the Former Gasworks Site.
Proposed timeframes for Stage 1 – Registration of Interest
Registration of Interest open: July 2021
Site Inspections during ROI open period: By appointment via appointed sales agent (JLL) July/August 2021
Registration of Interest close: August/September 2021
