Tender Description
Territory seeks to appoint a culturally appropriate organisation to establish a Culturally Appropriate, Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Suicide Prevention, Intervention, Postvention and Aftercare Service. The service is required to deliver on the following outcomes:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in the ACT have immediate access to culturally appropriate support for Suicide Prevention, Intervention, Postvention and Aftercare.
- Reduction in the causes, prevalence and impact of suicide on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, their families and communities, with an early intervention focus.
- Provision of support for people who have made a non-lethal suicide attempt or engaged in self-harm, to not make subsequent attempts and access appropriate treatment.
Help and support for people bereaved after suicide.
