⁠⁠⁠ABOUT THE COUNCIL: The City of Ryde has an area of 40.651 square kms and lies in the central northern part of the Sydney Metropolitan area, approximately 12kms from the centre of Sydney. The City occupies, most of the divide between the Parramatta and Lane Cover rivers, and has 16 suburbs within its boundaries.

ABOUT THE TENDER: The Council of the City of Ryde is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced social enterprises or not-for-profit organisations to operate Brush Farm House as a creative destination.

Brush Farm House, located in Eastwood in the City of Ryde, was built circa 1820 by Gregory Blaxland. It is not only one of Australia's oldest homes but also one of the most substantial houses surviving from the Macquarie period. Brush Farm House is an historic treasure. It is a place that holds many stories of the past that has long been loved by the community.

The City of Ryde is currently calling for expressions of interest (EOIs) for a creative organisation to tenant and operate Brush Farm House as a dedicated venue to support our local creative community. The successful tenant will provide affordable space and opportunities to support the production and presentation of creative work in the Ryde area.

The City of Ryde welcomes submissions from either:
a creative space provider dedicated to managing the space for the use of third-party arts, culture and creative people and businesses within the community, or
a creative organisation with the need for space to deliver for their own arts and creative activities that serve the needs of the community.

This opportunity is open to social enterprises, non-profits and charitable organisations that have a creative focus and have been operating for more than three years. Joint applications and expressions of interest for part of the space are also welcome.

REGISTRATION: Tender documents must be obtained after registration. Tender documents may be obtained by first registering on the e-tending portal.

CANVASSING SUPPORT: A Tenderer shall not directly, or indirectly, canvas support from an elected member, employee or Council at any time. Any Tenderer involved in such activity will result in their Tender being rejected.

SUBMISSION: Completed responses can be submitted via the electronic tender box (preferred) using the attached word version of the Schedule. Respondents will receive a successful submission, receipt timed and dated upon completion. Furthermore, hard copy submission can also be placed in a sealed envelope and endorsed with the Tender title, number and closing details. If submitting a tender via hard copy, the tender box is located in the foyer of Council's North Ryde Office.
