Tender Description
Yarra Valley Water (YVW) is seeking a service provider to manage general waste removal and disposal from nine sewage treatment plant (STP) sites located throughout the service area. This provider will be required to:
- provide bins of particular size to YVW STPs;
- collect and dispose of screenings, grit and general waste to landfill;
- collect and dispose of screenings collected in YVW Spirotainers;
- collect and transport thickened sludge from Upper Yarra STP to Brushy Creek STP for disposal to the sewer;
- record and report on waste disposal amounts, faults and incidents as necessary;
- provide a quality service in all aspects of the agreement.
The successful tenderer will provide a detailed response to this RFT, a competitive pricing submission, knowledge and experience in the waste management industry, and carefully considered measures in relation to environmental protection and occupational health and safety. The contract is expected to be executed by the end of July 2021, to commence August 2nd 2021.
