This project seeks to engage a consultancy firm to establish a Seasonal Worker Accommodation Action Team (SWAAT) to work with farmers, land owners, the housing development industry, employers and contractors to:

1. Develop and carry out a public awareness campaign to develop a data base of accommodation being used to accommodate seasonal workers. Develop and promote avenues to develop compliant accommodation through a media campaign and produce materials in multiple languages

2. Ensure non-compliant accommodation is inspected assisted to become compliant, and if necessary prosecuted

3. Determine available sites for worker accommodation both in towns and in farming areas

4. Proactively assist potential developers to establish seasonal workers’ accommodation

5. Facilitate accommodation development proposals through the approval process

6. Link developers with contractors and suppliers, servicing authorities etc…

7. Provide translation and interpreting services when necessary
