Tender Description
The objective of Synapse 74 is to provide a stimulating environment where entrepreneurs and innovators in healthcare come together with a health-related idea or concept that they are seeking to translate into a commercial entity. Synapse 74 will also provide the opportunity for EMHS and WA Health to work with a variety of stakeholders to tackle important challenges within the healthcare sector and develop the most innovative, patient focused and cost-effective solutions possible. It will leverage a strong culture and tradition of innovation at Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) and will provide significant opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships with research organisations, universities, private industry and other healthcare providers.
The healthcare focused Innovation Hub will be located on the RPH campus in a facility that will be refurbished to deliver a fit for purpose innovation space.
The State Party is undertaking an Expression of Interest (EOI) process to assist with planning for Synapse 74. The State Party is seeking a professional partner/s to support all or part of the development, implementation and day to day operations of a collaborative, co-working innovation and maker space with a focus on identifying, enabling and accelerating the market readiness of innovative healthcare solutions and medical technologies. The State Party plan to engage with a group/s experienced in innovation and commercialisation and/or have a track record operating such facilities and the broad range of functions to support success.
