This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
ASIC is seeking to review its storage and preservation strategies for the management of digital information assets to support compliance with the Archives Act 1983 and NAA-issued information management standards and policies. The review will include benchmarking against a best-practice matrix such as the DPC Rapid Assessment Model (RAM), Levels of Preservation (LoP) or equivalent framework to assess ASIC's current digital preservation capabilities with reference to ASIC's Risk, Security, Data, IT and Information governance frameworks. Key outcome: preliminary assessment of strategies and policies to support compliance and best-practice information management and digital preservation for medium and long-term retention of digital information assets. Scope of focus will include a review of the Information Asset Register framework; identification of strategies to mitigate digital risk and facilitate effective management, disposal, preservation and access to ASIC’s digital information assets held in email, active and legacy systems and SaaS solutions; a set of criteria to assist with assessment of datasets and an applicable retention strategy to manage future data assets; consideration of a range of conversion and migration strategies to support multiple content types and retention requirements; appropriate metadata sets and preservation file formats to support long-term record-keeping including transfer or access as National Archives.
