Supply and Delivery of Batteries, Stands and Battery Chargers

⁠⁠⁠THE ORGANISATION

Western Power is a Western Australian State Government owned corporation which is responsible for building, maintaining and operating an electricity network which connects over 1.1 million customers to traditional and renewable energy sources.

THE SCOPE

Western Power is seeking registrations of interest from suitably qualified and experienced companies capable of supplying and delivering Substation Batteries, Battery Chargers, and Battery Stands.

STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENT

Western Power is interested in identifying suppliers that can demonstrate capability by responding to the below questions:

2. Does your organisation offer the design, manufacture and delivery of any of the following components of substation DC system with a desired design life of 20 years?

1. Industrial Battery chargers – 32V,50V,110V,230V chargers capable of charging NICAD/VLA/VRLA batteries
2. Industrial Battery Combined Units (battery chargers with compartment to include batteries inside the panel) of 32V, 50V, 110V capable of charging NICAD/VLA/VRLA batteries
3. Battery bank/cells – NICAD (from 45Ah to 600 Ah), VLA (from 170 Ah, 400Ah), VRLA (from 125 Ah to 500 Ah)
4. Battery stands – to fit the battery banks supplied

3. Is your organisation the OEM or the Agent/Distributor of an OEM of the above equipment categories?
4. Please provide a list of your current clients in Australia and internationally?
5. Please advise the Country and location of your manufacturing facilities
6. Please advise the location and range of services of your Australian based technical support and service centres?
7. Please provide examples of recent projects & value in the last five years.
8. Does your organisation have an endorsed manufacturing facility with independent external accreditation confirming compliance with ISO9001?
9. Is your organisation able to provide copies of type test certificates from an internationally accredited testing authority as required?
10. Does your organisation have a budget for battery charger/battery R&D?
11. Please demonstrate how your organisation integrates and customises customer requirements into your product design.

Following registration and evaluation of the initial ROI responses shortlisted vendors will be considered for inclusion in the Request for Proposal (RFP) event.
