CHRC is seeking to engage a Contractor to supply and install cooling towers at Dame St and Twin Tank Reservoir sites to reduce the potable water supply temperature in accordance with Part 5 of this RFT. The successful Contractor will be engaged under a Design and Construct (D&C) Contract.
The scope of works for this project generally includes the following for each site. Refer to Part 5 for a detailed description of the works.
- Removal of existing cooling tower.
- Supply and installation of cooling towers and associated pipework. This will be one cooling tower at each of the two sites for a total of two (2) cooling towers for supply and installation.
- Sub mains power cabling from the site main Switchboard to each cooling tower.
- Augmentation of the SCADA network to monitor the new equipment.
- Supply and installation of new open style cooling towers.
- Design, fabrication, and erection of elevated cooling tower platforms (hot dip galvanised steel), including construction of foundations.
- Supply of Design and Construction drawings for the following aspects of the works certified by an RPEQ engineer:
- Cooling tower platforms.
- Hydraulics design verification to ensure the cooling tower outlet will gravity feed to the reservoir.
- Pipework including all pipe supports and thrust restraints.
