Tender Description
The South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) Infrastructure, Facilities Management Division requires the provision of inspection, on-site tagging and testing of portable electrical appliances throughout multiple sites managed by:
Fremantle Hospital and Health Service; and
Rockingham General Hospital
This includes Class I equipment and Class II equipment (Refer to AS/NZS 3760:2010 “In-service safety inspection and testing of electrical equipment” or definitions of above equipment).
Class I equipment refers to: basic insulated, protectively earthed equipment.
Class II equipment refers to: double insulated equipment.
The required services are to ensure that portable electrical appliances, excluding biomedical equipment, at the above mentioned sites are inspected and tested in accordance with the Australian Standard: AS/NZS 3760:2010 “In-service safety inspection and testing of electrical equipment”. This will ensure the safety of persons and the identification of faulty equipment, reliability, optimal functionality and ongoing safe operation of the equipment covered by the Contract.
Respondents may bid to deliver services at either one of both site groups. The Customer reserves the right to award each site group to different Respondents or both site groups to one Respondent to achieve the best value for money outcome.
