Tender Description
There is a high likelihood of culvert and formation failure at the -0.94km Parker Point Culverts. These culverts are not only for drainage but also carry (live & redundant) services through them. Failure of the culverts poses a risk of interuption to production, interuption to fuel train operations and also severance and interruption of business operations due to the risk of cutting the services running through the culverts.
Scope of work:
Contractor to supply, construct and tie in new services corridors for the following:
- 8 x fibre optic cables (~4km run altogether)
- 1 x 11Kv Electrical cable (~700m run)
- 1 x 250 dia. Water main. (500mm dia. drill shot through formation for encasing pipe)
- All services routes have been designed for most efficient/cost effective route and least impact to operations. Contractor shall construct to the issued drawings (included with this EOI)
- These services corridors include all supporting infrastructure including but not limited to footings, supports, cable tray, trenching, pits & drill shots and conduits through the rail formation
- Contractor to carry out geotech test for the drill shots to ensure selection of correct drilling methods and equipment and ensure constructability of proposed routes.
- Contractor to demolish all redundant services out of the -0.94 culverts including a purged gas main once new services are tied in. Demolition works will need a thorough risk assessment and methodology before clearance is given to proceed.
