Our important work includes breeding and recovery programs; we've built partnerships with local communities, fellow conservationists, and like-minded organisation close to home and in far-flung corners of the world. Saving wildlife is not what we do, it's who we are.
The scope of the project is to design and construct three purpose built refrigerated off-limit holding and breeding facilities at Healesville Sanctuary (HS) for amphibian species impacted by 2019/20 bush fires, namely:
- The Spotted Tree Frog (STF)
- Large Brown Tree Frog (LBTF)
- Giant Burrowing Frog (GBF)
Zoos Victoria wishes to highlight that there is a concurrent tender running for the same facilities to be designed and constructed at Melbourne Zoo (MZ). Each of the two tenders have unique site requirements but tenderers are encouraged to view and apply for both and to give consideration to efficiency of scale if the requirements of both tenders can be met by one firm.
Part D allows a space for a note from tenderers as to whether they are interested in applying for MZ, HS or both, as well as a table to record any identified cost savings if both tenders are bid for and successful.
