Sydney Metro is requesting tenders to provide Planning Approval Services for Sydney Metro West (SMW) Stage 3.

The Service Provider is responsible for providing all environmental planning services necessary to obtain the statutory planning approvals in respect of Stage 3 of the Sydney Metro West project. The scope of Services is limited to Stage 3 only.

The planning approval Service Provider will be responsible for coordinating and managing the outputs from other specialist advisors such as the Design Teams (including sub consultants) and other Technical Advisors to support the planning approval application for Stage 3 of the project.

The planning approval Service Provider will provide technical support and advice in respect to the planning application and environmental impacts affecting the Project.

The Service Provider must make provisions for working with the Engineering Design Solutions (EDS) team at Sydney Metro to ensure the required design inputs or agreed assumptions upon which to assess the impact of Stage 3 of the project are obtained in a timely manner.

Substantial experience in the provision of planning and environmental approval services for major infrastructure and development is required. Experience in the provision of environmental and statutory planning services associated with delivery of State Significant Infrastructure (SSI) projects is necessary.

Lead personnel must have previously managed multidisciplinary integrated teams and must have substantial planning knowledge of environmental assessment and approvals processes as they relate to major infrastructure works in NSW.
