Shire Halls Stage Curtains Project

⁠⁠⁠Yarriambiack Shire Council invites suitably qualified contractors to submit a tender for the supply and installation of stage curtains at the Brim Memorial Hall, Patchewollock Memorial Hall, Sheep Hills Mechanics Institute Hall, Woomelang Memorial Hall and Warracknabeal Town Hall.

The quoted works include:

• Each site must be inspected individually to determine curtain, track and rigging requirements.
• Successful tenderer will be required to provide drawings showing fabrication and installation details for stage curtains, including plans, elevations, sections, details, attachments to other work, and the following:

1. Operating clearances.
2. Requirements for supporting curtains, track, and equipment. Verify capacity of each track and rigging component to support loads.
3. Locations of equipment components and controls.

• Provide fabrics inherently flame resistant to comply with AS1530.2 & 3.
• Provide the manufacturer’s label on each curtain (typically attached to the bottom offstage edge of drapes). The label should include manufacturer’s name, date of manufacture, fabric composition, cleaning instructions, type of flame retardant treatment and the associated test results.

NOTE: Each site may require some or all of the following:

• Front curtains – 480 GSM Velvet 80% Fullness
• Rear Curtains – 520 GSM Wool 50% Fullness
• Lighting Border Curtains – 520 GSM Wool 50% Fullness
• Leg/Wing Curtains – 520 GSM Wool 50% Fullness
• Cyclorama - Filled Cloth Flat

NOTE: Each site is to be assessed for rigging.
All works carried out above 2 metres requires a current Working at Heights qualification.

Note: All contractors must attend a mandatory site visit prior to submission of the tender documents. A full day will be required to travel to all sites, two date options are available:-
