WNPHN is seeking a supplier to coordinate mental health nursing services for older people socially isolated by the impact of COVID-19 by building on or extending existing mental health services in the Great South Coast sub-region.
Due to the large population, the target group for this project is older Australians living in the community, particularly to those LGAs with higher populations of persons over 65 and living in lone person households (Appendix 1). Mental health nurses are the priority workforce for this Initiative. However, where there are workforce shortages of mental health nurses, suppliers have flexibility to engage other appropriately qualified health professionals with the capacity and competencies to deliver the full scope of services which might include Registered Nurses with mental health training, or allied health professionals with formal mental health competencies.
