Tender Description
The NDIA is committed to listening to the expert voice of people with disability, their families and careers to inform policy and service improvements, strategy development and research and evaluation.
Our commitment goes beyond hearing from those most willing and able to share their experiences.
We’re putting systems in place that will connect us with those voices that aren’t always heard.
One of the practical ways that we’re demonstrating our commitment is to establish a PEP that we anticipate will make engaging with people with disability that are harder to reach, easier.
It is envisaged the panel will be made up of a number of suppliers who have strong, enduring relationships with people with disability, their family and carers including hard to reach disability communities.
Panel suppliers should possess a deep understanding of, and experience with people with disability their families and carers. Engaging these communities through the panel will be easier and more cost effective than current approaches.
Panel suppliers may offer a mix of end-to-end engagement services for the Agency. This could support the engagement of participants based on required characteristics, and may also help Agency staff coordinate and facilitate workshops, analyse and report engagement findings, pay participants that are engaged, and develop meaningful, co-designed policy and resources to support Agency engagement and communication activities.
The panel seeks to embed the following five principles of our Participant Service Charter:
- Transparent: We want to make it easy to access and understand NDIA’s information and decisions.
- Responsive: We want to respond to individual needs and circumstances.
- Respectful: We want to recognise the individual experience and acknowledge participants as experts in their own lives.
- Empowering: We want to make it easy for participants to access information and to be supported by the NDIS to lead their lives Connected: We want to support people with disability, their families and carers accessing the services and supports they need.
