Horizons Regional Council (the Council) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified suppliers (Prospective Suppliers) who are interested in providing Council with expertise in the areas of flood protection, flood mitigation and flood protection enhancement works.
Part of central government's response to the economic impacts of COVID-19 has been to invest in 'shovel ready' infrastructure projects to support New Zealand's economic recovery. Horizons has been fortunate enough to secure funding from government to undertake four flood protection projects in and around the region with a total value of $35.9M.
It is proposed that the construction works will be undertaken in stages over three construction seasons with the four projects broken down into multiple work packages. Delivery of the work packages must occur at pace, time being critical and must comply with any agreed Social Procurement Objectives set by the Ministry. To ensure procurement processes run smoothly and rapidly, we are now seeking Expressions of Interest from prospective suppliers to join a Supply Panel listing contractors and consultants with whom we can engage.
