Tender Description
The City of Marion is seeking to engage a qualified and competent Civil Contractor to construct a new wetland from within an existing detention basin at Lucretia Way, Hallett Cove.
The contract involves excavating circa 5000m3 of sediment, temporary storage to dewater and then re-use on site (subject to further testing). The emphasis of this project is preventing the mobilisation of any sediment into the adjacent watercourse as this is immediately upstream from a very environmentally sensitive Conservation Park.
Consequently as part of the formal documentation requested a Dredge Management Plan is required which will be reviewed and approved under the relevant Contractors EPA licence for the dredging, by the EPA and Council.
