Tender Description
The Department for Environment and Water (DEW) invites tenders for the upgrade of the Lock 3 and Lock 6 River Vessel Waste Disposal stations (RVWDS) in South Australia’s Riverland.
DEW owns, operates, and maintains 13 RVWDS between Goolwa and Lock 6, with Lock 3 and Lock 6 stations the final two stations requiring an upgrade.
The works include the full demolition, decommissioning and bank reinstatement at the existing Lock 3 RVWDS, the construction of a new RVWDS at a nearby Kingston on Murray site and the full demolition, and construction of a new RVWDS, at the existing Lock 6 RVWDS site.
Construction of the new stations comprises all on-shore and off-shore works, including:
Earthworks, sheet piles, dolphin piles, pontoon, electrical works and controls, hydraulic services and pumps, wastewater mains, soakage beds (Lock 6 only), service connections, and access track upgrades.
