Tender Description
FBA is seeking tenders from suitably qualified accounting and audit firms to conduct the external audit of FBA’s annual financial reports for the 2021, 2022 and 2023 financial years.
The Firm must be registered as a company auditor (RCA) by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
The Audit is to be conducted in accordance with Australian Auditing Standards.
The Audit will also include evaluating the appropriateness of the financial reporting framework, and accounting policies used, and the reasonableness of accounting estimates made by management as well as evaluating the overall presentation of the financial report.
At the conclusion of the annual audit, the Auditor will provide a separate letter to the FBA Board and Management to include any management recommendations for consideration.
The Auditor must meet the professional independence requirements in relation to the audit of the financial reports.
Timeframes
Tender timeframe:
• Tender closure: 28th September 2020
• Tender assessment: 9th October 2020
• Recommendation to stakeholder members: 14th October 2020
• Notification of tender awarding: 19th October 2020
Annual audit timeframes that must be met:
• Preliminary audit meeting – Mid June
• Financial reports handed to auditor to commence audit – end of 3rd week July
• Audit completion – 2nd week August
• Presentation of Audit findings and management recommendations – last Thursday in August
• Financial report adopted by FBA Board – last Thursday in August
• Financial report presented to FBA Members by FBA Board – mid October
