The water supply responsibilities of North East Water (NEW) include the operation of the Walwa potable water supply systems. To improve the supply to the township of Walwa several watermains are to be renewed. The watermains are as follows : Church Street 148m of 100mm, Hanna Street 180m of 100mm, River & Shelly Road 1700m of 150mm and Wilson Street 172m of 100mm. As a result North East Water is seeking suitably qualified contractors to design and construct the proposed watermains throughout the township of Walwa.
