The West Coast District Health Board (WCDHB) is seeking an appropriately experienced main contractor to undertake the construction and delivery of the new Buller Health Facility.
We require a contractor who can commit their own skills and resources to this project and who also has a partnership with quality and reliable subcontractors. This project is in a rural regional location 3 to 4 hours from the nearest urban centre. This means that a main contractor needs to have the ability to mobilise themselves and sub-contractors to a regional area or engage with suppliers locally. This project will be undertaken around a functional hospital environment so demonstrating an ability to manage and plan for these constraints is of high importance.
The project presents an excellent opportunity to deliver a purpose-built facility in the healthcare sector for the client, in a challenging geographic environment. It would be an advantage if you can demonstrate previous experience in health-related projects, however, working in an isolated regional location on a multi-million-dollar job will also be seen as beneficial.
