Small Business Month 2020 Campaign EOI

⁠⁠⁠Liverpool City Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from small businesses within the Liverpool region to be featured as part of its NSW Small Business Month campaign. Through a series of videos shared on Council’s social media channels, the campaign will showcase several local businesses which have successfully implemented an initiative from one of the NSW Small Business Month festival themes that has improved their business resilience. The campaign seeks to:

• Highlight the resilience of local businesses;
• Showcase businesses as leaders in best practice and allow for peer-to-peer learning; and
• Encourage the local community to continue to support local businesses.

About NSW Small Business Month

NSW Small Business Month, hosted by the NSW Government, is the only dedicated festival for small businesses in NSW. Celebrated each October, it features hundreds of free and low-cost activities, including workshops and webinars, that celebrate and support small businesses to help them connect, develop and grow.

In acknowledging the current challenging environment faced by small businesses, the 2020 festival themes are designed to help businesses reboot, upskill and look to the future as part of the recovery phase.

1. Building your brand on social: How to market your business on social media, build your brand, protect your reputation and attract the customers you want.
2. Working with digi-tech: Present, promote and grow your business online and learn the latest technologies to best connect with your customers.
3. Financial foundations: Explore the grants and support available to you, take control of your bookkeeping, budgeting and taxation, and learn to safeguard your business.
4. Research, plan, do: Plan for the future with market research and develop tactics for risk and disaster management.
5. Futureproof your business: Understand stressors and disruptors, keep an eye outside your business model and know what to do when the unknown hits.
6. Your team and you: Gain insights on how to hire, manage, train and retain the best staff.

Please download and complete a copy of this Small Business Month EOI Form and email it to business@liverpool.nsw.gov.au. EOIs must be received by Council by 5pm, Friday 4 September 2020.

Please note, this opportunity is only available for small businesses (with less than 20 employees) based in the Liverpool Local Government Area. Up to eight (8) businesses will be selected to feature in this campaign, based on their responses to the criteria in the EOI form. Filming and photography will take place in mid-late September and take approximately 1 hour per participating business.
