Tender Description
The Pyrenees Shire Council invites Expressions of Interest for the position of Independent Member on Council’s Audit Committee.
The Audit Committee operates under a Charter from Council and is required to meet at least 3 times per year. Independent members are initially appointed for a period of 3 years.
Ideally, the independent member of the Audit and Risk Committee will be skilled in the areas of financial, legal or risk management.
Meetings of the Committee are held at the Beaufort Council office and are generally held from 3pm on the 4th Tuesday in May, August and November.
An independent member of the Audit and Risk Committee receives a payment of $500 + travel for attendance at each meeting.
