Tender Description

Summary
Expressions of interest are open for a Trainee Representative on the RACP's peak policy and advocacy body.

Description
As a Board Committee, the College Policy and Advocacy Council's (CPAC) distinctive contribution to the work of the College is to understand the policy environment and forge balanced, evidence-based approaches to policy and advocacy work for the benefit of patients, the community and College members, while considering the College’s broader strategic objectives.

Expressions of interest are now open for a trainee to join the College Policy & Advocacy Council as a Trainee Representative.

As a Trainee Representative, you'll be an integral part of the policy and advocacy decision-making process by the CPAC. The position is for a term of 2 years.

CPAC meets face-to-face twice a year, with the next meeting scheduled for 21 October – subject to COVID-19 restrictions being lifted, otherwise the meeting will be held virtually.

Generally, CPAC members aren't required to make any decisions outside of the face-to-face meetings but there are times when the CPAC's input and approval is required out of session via email.

Learn more about the College's current policy and advocacy priorities.

Before applying, you must read the College Policy and Advocacy Council By-Law (PDF) and the College Policy and Advocacy Committee Guiding Principles (PDF), which inform decision-making around policy priorities and allocation of Policy and Advocacy resources.

Apply
To express your interest, submit an expression of interest form (DOC) and a copy of your latest CV to TraineesCommittee@racp.edu.au
